Hard Day

I had a very hard day with the client today.. they even wanted to talk to my manager.. go ahead.. I feel that my supplier is not charging you unreasonably as the scope of work is really alots.. When can stupid people stop comparing apple with banana..

The client know the cost for that work.. that why they dare not take up my challenage in comparing pricing with their current supplier..

They just want to push me hard.. so I can get my supplier to reduce the price.. but that is not fair to my supplier.. I pity my supplier and really hope that they will not do any future work for these people anymore..

I feel so tired to explain to unreasonable people..

Finally...

Been suffering since Sunday.. flu and cough..

Monday night, went to doc at Simei but it was a long queue and I really didn't have the patient to wait for an hour.. so decide that I will give it amiss.. Went home took a hot bath and lay on bed.. struggle for an hour before I can fall asleep even through I was really tired.. Through out the night, I was still coughing non-stop..

Yesterday I finally see a doc at Paragon.. it was "queue-less".. no dinner as I don't feel eating..

Hopefully I will feel better before the weekend..

Dining with the Ladies

Once again, is the monthly outing for the ladies... The occassion is to celebrate Amanda L's birthday.. This time we have a special guest Joshua with us..

We choose Aerin's at Raffles City.. It is a casual dining but the set up was beautiful except the water feature create too much noise which I felt we need to scream at each other as we chat through out the night.. We ordered pumpkin soup, tomato soup, chef's salad with chicken, deep fried calamari, spaghetti chicken, duck leg confit, rib eye steak... and ended with a dessert baked apple & rhubarb pie.. the ladies also ordered several funny colour drinks except me.. I only had warm water.. oh! & chicken nuggets with fried for our special guest Joshua..

The food is savour but the portion was too much for us.. the soup came in really big bowl and never tried their tomato soup.. it tasted like tomato paste.. too thick till it can go as a spaghetti sauce.. I personal like the spaghetti chicken very much because it tossed with kabayaki sauce and topped with nori & bonito flakes.. very Japanese style.. The dessert was also wonderful which is a signature dish but you need to wait 15 mins as it is freshly baked.. it is also in super hugh portion..

Overall it was a nice dining experience in a new place.... and with my lovely kaki :)

& not to forget to praise our guest Joshua, he was entertaining himself all night while the ladies gossip..

Normally this period of the year, I will be very busy with RFP.. this year, as usually I'm running RFP but I'm FREE.. I'm struggling to think what can I do to add value to my work.. I even run an extra RFP this year just to make myself occupy and feel more useful..

So now I'm surfing net.. and thinking if I should be so nice to make blueberry muffins for Jie Jie this weekend.

I Miss Moh

Saw my old buddy Moh online today.. just before I was going to pack up and go home.. so I decide to stay a bit to chat with him.. and I missed Moh so much..

I tried to update him that I saw Andrew and Mark last week but he knew it.. sigh! These guys are so fast..

Anyway Moh is going to be in BKK from 19-28Sep.. Jimmy and Fanny will be there too.. Wish I could join them.. He been asking me to go.. and I really want to go BKK.. I'm such a let down..

And when can I go to Geneva to see my dear Moh? sigh..

It been raining.. cold and windy over the past few days.. I'm suffering from flu because of this changing weather.. but I still feel like eating ice-cream.. if got gelato that would be BEST!

I need good foods to generate energy to fight the coldness..

Relaxing Day Off

I took a day off from work.. wanted to go to Desaru but the plan didn't work out..

Wake up at 10am, went to Tampines to have my fave MOS burger for breakfast follow by a movie The Dark Knight.. There are only 20 people in the cinema..

After the movie, I went to Changi Airport T3 to have coffee, raspberry cheesecake and read Straits Times..

It was relaxing and wonderful.. I'll clear the balance of my vacation by doing the same thing.. hopefully I can do it every months.. haha!! :)

Lazy...........

I've been so lazy ever since I'm back from US.. I've a lots to write.. Didi Jerry found new work.. update on my work.. Dinner with Darling.. I'm sick again... etc etc..

I just so tired.. I slept early every night and blood pressure has been really low.. Doc asked me to rest more and listen to my body.. I went to the chinese herb shop two days ago and brought some red date and longan.. so I can make some drink which I heard can increase my blood pressure.. at least better than taking liver :(

I'll try for a period and see if there is any improvement..

Outing with My Kaki

Didi, Darling, Johnie and I went for a drink last month.. erm.. I met darling at my office.. Didi and Johnie were LATE!! These two man hor.. really don't know what to says... Never once early! or on-time.. Need to chase after them to leave home or office.. sigh! Give up liao..

Anyway we had fun.. is always nice to go out together.. I love their company.. Our next plan, Sentosa.. but Johnie and me schedule are full.. we have to travel.. so next outing should be in mid or late July..

Last night I watched my 1st "live" base ball game.. it was GREAT!! I thought I will never like the game but I love it.. The atmosphere was good! noise, wave, sing, foods, chat.... I enjoyed it.. there is one part when the camera shot a couple.. they must kiss.. and all those couples that were shot.. they really kiss! be it young or old couple.. haha!! Then we were laughing.. what if they shot us.. cause there are 31 of us.. and we were laughing so hard.. Lucky I'm in between both girls..

Farewell Dinner

Attended the farewell dinner for Deon at Kuriya Japanese Restaurant @ Raffles City..

Super expensive Japanese foods.. 1 small fish for sashimi at S$200.. the whole team was shocked with the pricing.. We even joke that we should order the S$200 sashimi fish.. request the chef to slice it into 13 slices.. so each of us get 1 piece and we will order 13 bowls of rice with soya sauce..

I had a great time chatting and laughing with my colleagues.. Wonderful dinner and company...

Push Back

Now I finally know why I was given this assignment.. sigh! The job is not difficult.. I just need time to speed up and meet the needs of the stakeholders.. The major problem is the incorporation and push back from the ops buyer.. Through the conference call today, I was so mad that the ops buyer for pushing back the work to me.. Damn it!!

I told them that I need coopration from them to work as a team and that if they refuse to cooperate with me.. once I pick up the speed.. I will do all the work including the ops work and he will be jobless.. they immediately put the phone on mute after I finish this sentence.. and I was shocked!! I asked my manager.. did they put the phone on mute and are they trying to digest what I have told them.. having a discussion? And my manager says they are having french fries and coffee.. So I scolded "f***ing rude lor".. I showed the ops buyer and his manager what I'm capable of... infront of my manager.. haha!! :) Lucky my manager was very nice and supportive :)

When they return to line, the ops manager told me that he understand where I'm coming from and that they were much more cooperative.. We are calling for a meeting with the ops manager when he come to Singapore on 11June.. I told my manager that I'll throw my designation at him.. damn it!!

New Assignment

Another tough assignment.. Official onboard will be July as I’m in transition now and need to prepare for business trip to US for 3 weeks… handover files and provide training to client.. then I can move on.

This week, I’m doing familiarization work to the two different work locations (Jurong and UE Square) for my new assignment.. My new assignment requires me to juggle between two locations thus cannot drive to work.. I don’t want to get 2 season parking and use half a month each.. need to work out the logistics and tune myself to the culture on new client.

1st day in Jurong.. it took me 1.50hrs to travel from home to work.. the journey is like hiking but I should be ok if it does not rain. There is also not many eateries in that area probably I’m not familiar with the place yet. I should be ok with this as I’m not fussy with lunch.

2nd day in UE Square.. I was super early today so I went to Starbucks for a cup of coffee.. enjoy the air-con with my ipod and blogging.. I feel that I’m back to civilization after a day in Jurong.. haha!! This area is much better but I heard the client will moved out next year since the rental is expensive. Today was a bad day, I met a contact here and I know he is not easy.. We had a ops call today and I feel the call was terrible.. I’m going back to HDQ tomorrow afternoon and I will definitely need to thrash things out with the management.

This thought just run through my mind…. Am I a fire fighter for my company? This customer got problem.. so there you goes with your distinguisher and clean up the mess!! I know the route ahead is going to be tough because of what the transition team have contributed and the client is unhappy.. The job is not difficult but I need to pick up the pace when I go onboard in July.. Give myself 3 months and I’m confidential that I’ll be able to please the stakeholder.

My Decision

I rejected the client offer for a regional job.. Am I stupid? I’m not sure but my mind is set. Everyone around me is very supportive.. I hope it is a right choice.

People tend to think that you get a job offer! Wow.. that is so great! But seriously I feel otherwise this time. I’ve a good job and good colleagues therefore it is a tough decision. You need to make a decision.. and you are sure to regret no matter what you choose.. My colleague says 1 thing to me which I totally agree. You will only regret later when you are not happy.. You tend to look back and ask yourself that if I would have chosen the other option.. Wouldn’t I be happier now? Human are greedy!!

I just want to write this down so when I regret.. I can look back..

They understand and care about me.. we are a great team although we are going to be separated after the repatriation but at least we are still in the same company. I love the silver one!! metallics silver can match anything.. so classy, elegant and gorgeous.. it can be use all-year round.. day, night, work, dinner.. never out of style.. When they first launched the Mahina L & XL.. I already fall in love with it.. but the size is a little too big for me.. I don't have that much to carry.. Now the XS size is in market and need to go check it out... The size might be still a little big but I doubt there will be a XXS in market.. haha! Gosh! I want this... thinking, craving and must have... so now need to cool off... cause it is over priced and it is going to burn a hole in my pocket..

Wake up at 9am.. went to Bedok Chin Siong to get a roasted chicken, roast pork and char siew for daddy... then had my fave yong tau foo.. the price finally went up.. it is now 25 cents per piece after so many years.. Mum and me still enjoyed it..

This year, we went a little bit earlier than last year.. it was still packed and crowded.. police was around to control the traffic..

Hey my dear daddy & granny.. I'm here to see you again!! Once a year and time really fly... This year I take charge of praying, arranging the items, cleaning and burning.. cause I'm the only child that went 祭祖 with mum. Jie Jie has to look after two monkey, Mei Mei got to look after 5 doggies and Bro D is working..

As usual I report to daddy what is going on at home.. and mum complaint to daddy about Bro D.. I think daddy not so interested.. haha! :P

Nico's 1st Birthday

31 March 2008 marked Nico's 1st birthday...

Nico is created by his Singaporean daddy and Japanese mummy.. so she need to experience the traditional Japanese ceremony for child who reach their 1st 365 days of life.. On this day, It means that Nico has to shouldered a Bag Of Rice (abt the weight of Ten Cups of Glutinous Rice. Ten-Cups in Old Japanese means "Whole Life". A symbolism of "Ones will shouldered the load of their own life and walk on" :P

I thot Patrick was just joking.. how can a baby carry that amount of rice and walk? According toYasuko's experiences with other kids during this ceremony. Children cries loud and most would not even step out. However, the brave little Nico walk (tho she did cry)..

What a Bad Day!!

Yesterday was a BAD day for me...

1st, I was locked out of the system by company admin all day.. I struggle with the IT department thinking that my password has expired.. after lunch, we realized that I was transferred to another company without my knowledge. Obviously, it was a mistake by HR.

2nd, there was a news in the office.. that I'm not suppose to share... People think is a good news but I'm not sure.. somehow, there are rumours spreading in the office.. and people are asking me.. I've to act BLUR!!

3rd, continuously 2 nightly conference calls that start at 8pm.. I have to leave office at 6pm in order to be home for the call.. but as usual, I was delayed.. I stayed in office till around 6.45pm and there was a traffic jam due to the rain.. while driving along the AMK Ave 5, a stone flew to my windscreen and created a 1.5cm “snow flake” crack on it.. and I was late for the call :(

A Tough Decision

What Is Wrong With Me?

I've been really tired everyday.. working late and rushing report.. at time, i was still on conference call or checking emails at 11pm.. my eye bag is so black and swollen.. yet I cannot sleep on weekend and I wake up really early :(

Goaarrrrrrrrrr.... I'm so damn tired now..

My Mobile

Got a new hand phone yesterday.. haven't been using a hand phone for so long.. so I'm experience difficulty in adjusting to the keypad.. This is my 3rd hand phone as most of the time hand phone was provided by company..



My first hp.. Ericsson 388.. It cost me around S$600 (I think so).. it is a wonderful phone.. no matter how many time you drop it.. it is still working.. hard and solid..

In between I used a couple of Ericsson and Nokia phone that were sponsored by company.. until 2006, I got the HP IPAQ phone for myself at S$900..



The HP phone is nice with good and useful function .. but the 2 negative points are soft ring tone and it occasionally hanged! The ring tone is the biggest struggle for me.. it is so soft that I always ended up with "miss call".. I dropped it a few times, it was still functional except the plastic cover cracked and there is no way to get replacement :(



This is my latest N95 8GB.. got it at S$508 after trade in the HP IPAQ 6828 for S$150.. It look soft and fragile.. so I'm really panic and handling it with extra care.. I'm very fond of dropping my phone.. so this is a great challenge for me.. Now I need to get use to the function and not having a touch screen capability.. One good thing is... ringing tone is really loud so I won't get "miss call" again.. My little sis owned the same phone so I intend to get a crash course from her :)

I'm Flat

After 4 months of curled hair.. I've decided to go flat again! I think straight hair is more suitable for me as it require lesser time to take care and cream it.. But I've a bad habit.. I will very quickly forget all the curl hair disaster after a few months and will start to think of curling it again.. hehe! :)

Johnie came out with ideas like flip flop, underwear (erm.. how I know his size?) and even Shu Umeura deepsea moist.. and finally Darling V and myself have decided that we will get him a t-shirt from Billabong at Raffles City on Friday.. as we are going for dinner at Hanabi @ Odeon Tower..

I left office at 5:40pm on Fri after sending out a report to my boss (which I owe him since Thursday).. rushed to Raffles City.. got him a t-shirt and a slice of oreo cheesecake from Starbucks (was suppose to get the cake from Bakerzin but it has closed down it store in Raffles City).. then I tried Menotti cafe but they don't serve cake :(

Managed to get to the restaurant at 6:50pm.. but Darling V, Dear M and Johnie all late.. Worst still, Didi Jerry still in meeting.. Dinner was nice but the company were even better.. we had a great time enjoying Japanese foods..

After dinner, we went to Boiler Room @ St James for a drink.. order a bot of Chives Regal and the 5 of us just finished it in less than 2 hours.. we sang birthday song with a slice of cake top with an extra huge candle.. Sabotage is always part of the program.. and Darling V was the one who sabo Didi to the stage and was "molstered" by the singer.. then Jerry's 3 other friends came to joined us so we ordered another bot of Jim Beam.. Didi's friends treated him with 1 Lambongini and 2 tequila net.. We had so much fun.. but I was really tired cause I have been really busy with work last week.. we left at 2:15am cos Johnie and me were really tired and Dear M still need to work on Sat.. Didi Jerry with his 3 other friends stayed behind with the 1/2 bot of Jim Beam.. Didi Jerry's was already high when we left..

I was happy as it been a long time since we last met up for night life together.. and I even bump into my fren Irene..

Went back to HDQ yesterday to meet the boss.. flew all the way from Australia to Singapore and will be leaving tonight for Bangalore and New Delhi.

I was offered to do an internal project and he want me to consider how much time I can put in.. it can be 5-10% and it really depend on my job load but my support to client have to remain top priority.. If I managed the work load and provide enough time to this project.. I can even lead the ASEAN negotiation..

I've mixed feeling.. the challenge make me feel excited.. it's a great exposure.. so I'm happy.. on the other hand, there are so many talented people in HDQ.. so I can really feel the pressure to excel..

I want blessing from 3 others boss.. cluster, local and direct.. & I text my direct boss last night and he immediately called me from US to have a short chat with me.. he is very supportive of me participating in the project.. I'm so lucky! :)

Friends

Friends are like balloons; once you let them go, you might not get them back. Sometimes we get so busy with our own lives and problems that we may not even notice that we've let them fly away. Sometimes we are so caught up in who's right and who's wrong that we forget what's right and wrong. Sometimes we just don't realize what real friendship means until it is too late.

Received an email from Chelsea's mummy yesterday..

"My Chelsea is now 3.8kg. Me admitting on Monday night. She should arrive by Tue night.. Any update will let you all know"..

Wow.. finally little princess Chelsea is arriving.. according to Meow Meow, Chelsea is too comfortable therefore got to induce.. I'm going to be on standby..

Must rush to hosptial to see beautiful Chelsea and her ugly mummy (at least should look tired!).. haha!

Feeling Weak

Sigh! What a start for 2008....

Fainted at home on last Saturday night without any feeling.. when I'm conscious already blue black on my knee and waist.. Doc says my blood pressure is low.. 60/80.. suggest that I intake more salty foods, gain some weight and exercise to push up the blood pressure..

So I was working from home on Monday & Tuesday.. Wednesday back to office, worked till late follow by dinner.. reached home.. throw out the foods.. thot maybe I took dinner too late so I went to bed..

Awake at 1:50am continue to throw out for 2 x.. then awake at 3:00am and suffer from diarrhoea for 4 x till morning.. and fever at 38.7 c.. This time doc says gastric flu.. was bedded all day on Thursday :(

Good Start!

I'm off for a good start in 2008!

I've completed my first target for 2008..

1) completed compliance report for 12 countries since 3Jan..
2) documement my PBC result this morning :) This is the toughest one.. cause I'm only 4 months into my new job.. and don't really have any figure to show except a saving plan of USD 1.2 mil.. Need to work hard and make some nice figure for next year :)

Move on!

I gave a lecture to someone last night (1st day of the year).. yes! I feel really good after that.. cause I've been accused and I'm suffering.. it is a mental torture... Surprisingly, I have been taking it in silent for so many months.. until the volcano finally erupted last night.. I no longer want to take that kind of shit any more..

After bah! out everything.. I feel more comfortable and I'm ready to move on :)

No Resolution for 2008

I never really set resolution for year 2008.. Don't really want to cos it never really work.. and I tend to forget about it..

So my 1st day back to work will be to complete the PBC and compliance report for all 12 countries :)

Next week, will have new work..

Company X'mas High Tea

I had my 1st company X'mas high tea yesterday at RP.

Met 27 of my colleagues (from same department).. I went RP from client office and everyone depart from CBP office.. I was 5 mins late cos I bump into a supplier while on my way.. My manager is always very nice to me.. she text me and ask if I've arrival.. she didn't want me to be miss out from the event.. when I arrived, she get me a seat next to her so she can chat with me.. she even introduced every colleagues to me from table to table..

The high tea food is not really that fantastic but we had a great time chatting..

Initially I tot I will be out of place.. but the fact is.. everyone talk to me.. and I mixed in fairly well :)

New Hairstyle

Last night I log on to my laptop at 10pm and work till 1:30am..

Surprising that I was able to wake up at 10:30am today.. I decided to make an appointment to do my hair.. It has been a mess for awhile and I badly need to do something to it.. To make myself look fresh and happy once again!

Went to see my hairstylist Alan.. and I had a digital perm.. wahaha! The end result is satisfactory.. I like it cause I feel I have more hairs... more volume.. I can now tie it up, bun it and let it down without worry about the hair look out of shape.. cause perm hair is suppose to be messy!! The only problem is... I cannot wash my hair for the next 48 hours :(

Relaxing Friday

Left office since noon.. went to Orchard Road to meet Evelydn and ah boy for lunch..

We had lunch at "Pi Feng Kang".. Ah boy highly recommended the char siew noodle.. we ordered a fried beancurd with carrot and mushroom, spanish with century egg and salted egg, 2 char siew noodle and 1 shredded chicken hor fun.. total damage S$28.. ah boy paid for it.. lunch was really enjoying.. then we proceed to Starbuck for kopi.. as usual ah boy want vanilla latte, Evelydn ordered a mocha latte and me cafe latte.. (I'm simple.. or you can say I'm boring!)

After kopi, we went shopping.. check out bags and wallets at Lowe, Tods, Bottega, LV etc.. ah boy and Evelydn had to wait for me while I take a conference call on the road.. haha! Then we proceed to Evelydn's new office to chit chat.. and we met Evelydn's only colleague, Maria.. we had lots of laughter and nonsense in the office..

Ah boy and I decided to continue our adventure at DFS... follow by dinner at Hans. Evelydn called and she came by to join us.. haha! after all that, the 3 of us are together again.. While ah boy went to the washroom, he received an sms from Jack.. Jack was at our office area and wanted to meet up for a quick drink but ah boy is on leave.. then Jack called me.. and I told him, haha! I'm also not in office.. I'm with your best friend.. ah boy.. haha!! Jack was suppose to come to town to meet us but he was waiting for Clarence and we waited till 8pm.. both Evelydn and myself was tired.. so we decide to go off..

Before we left the place, Evelydn and myself went to check out some hair salon.. I'm considering whether to get a hair cut or perm it..

It was fun today... haven't had such a great time since I was very busy with all the negotiation..

I still miss the industry people very much :)

Regret or not?

wow.. it been so long time since I last blog..

My new job is really taking up a lots of my time.. I've been working from 8am - 10pm almost any other day.. I'm hopeful that it would only be this period.. after Dec, life will be better :)

Neglecting friends and loved one.. Lacking time to do my own activities.. blogging, swimming, clubbing, sleeping, reading, chatting.. Many friends have smsed me... asking me how am I? Cos I just disappear from their life.. they know my jobs is tedious and they began to ask me if I regret it or not?

Biggest fear in human when changing a job from familiar to new environment.. I've seen friends job hopping ever since they quit the initial job... but my answer is firm.. NO! I never regret.. I just need more time to suit myself into this new environment..

Visit to Buffy & Her Puppies

Went to visit Buffy and her puppies.. she is such a cute, brave, lovely, smart dog.. She actually know how to take care of her puppies.. She was so excited when she see me.. She ran in and out of the room just to welcome me.. but she was also worry about her puppies.. You can see how funny she is.. and she even count her puppies just to make sure they are still around.. She is so motherly..

I can't get near her puppies as she is worry that we may take them away.. when I step too near, she will jump into the box to protect them.. The scene is so touching..

After the visit, I went downstair with mum.. got her new sock, clothes and shoe.. We had a nice and hearty dinner.

Buffy + Furby + Furfy + Doffy

Received a call from Unqiue... "Buffy gives birth at home"...

I was so worry so I called jie jie to book a cab and emergency appointment for Buffy. Dress up and rush to the petrol station to pump fuel.. then drove 100km/hr to Mount Pleasant Hospital at Whitney Road. Jie Jie came after I shortly arrived. Buffy already delivered 3 puppies (Furby, Furfy and Doffy). She was feeding them. She saw me and refuse to feed them.. I know she want me to hug her but I'm so worry that I may hurt her.. She is really an amazing dog.. she can jump just after she gives birth.



I'm just so happy that Buffy and her babies are all fine and healthy.

How to be an Octopus?

Aiya.. what my boss said is so right..

I get request from all Asia countries.. OMG.. Need to turn myself into an octopus to entertain every single request :(

Mum is Sick

Received a miss call and a sms from Jie Jie.. “call me urgent”..

And mum’s having fever at 39C and rashes..

I'm in office today.. so can't go pick her up :(

Goodbye Uncle Wu

Attended Uncle Wu's funeral today..

He is already 74 and had been suffering from bone cancer for awhile.. I feel it is a relieved for him and his famliy.. Many friends and relatives attended the cremation..

This is the 2nd time I go to Mandai cremation.. 1st time was for Helen.. It was sad because she is a nice girl and I'm glad her husband cremented her when they found the body in Krabi.. at least I don't have to go to the viewing hall.. Today I went to the viewing hall and out of sudden it reminded me of daddy.. my eye turn teary immediately :(

It been a long time since I lost someone.. I really don't like this kind of feeling..

Jie Jie is Hospitalized

Jie Jie is hospitalized for 1 day :(

Sweet baby Julian has recovered and turn into a monkey (that is what popo says).. but Jie Jie think that he has turn into baby devil and use his little power to transfer his germ to Jie Jie..

Jie Jie has fever, stomache clump, vomit and terrible headache.. She is 4 months pregnant so we are all very worry about her.. She is admitted for 1 night and is now on drip :(

I hope she get well soon :)

Darling Julian is Sick

Baby Julian was admitted to KK Hospital yesterday..

He was not feeling well since Monday.. He vomit and diarrhea all day.. He went into fits yesterday noon when he was playing in the room with popo. Jie Jie was cooking congee for this little prince.. He shocked the whole family.. His eye was closed, no reaction.. Jie Jie rushed him to the clinic and then admitted him to KK Hospital.

When I reached his ward, he was quietly asleep.. and he look so cute and handsome in the hospital clothes.. I brought a balloon and hope he get well soon!

And thank god, he was discharge today noon.. Jie Jie says he was busy hi-five and bye bye with the nurses.. he is also active running around the ward.. I'm glad he has regained his energy..

Don't be sick again little prince.. everybody is so worry about you and I think he has the most visitor last night :)

It's a Dream Job!!

Time flies.. already into 1st week of my new job..

Although I was only in office for 1 full day (to collect my badge, laptop, email access) and 2 half day (for meeting).. The rest of the week, I was working from home.. There is no honeymoon period as the team is busy with RFP. I'm trying to pick up as much as possible.. I need to quickly learn more on the region that I'm handling, the client requirement, the organization and agreement between my company with the client.. I'm off to a great start (that is what my US boss says!)

Everyone in my HQ and off site office have been very helpful and trying to get me familiar with the job.. my team has arranged conference calls for me with my colleagues in Guangzhou, Hong Kong & US to help me with my job.. and several trainings were set up.. so I don't really feel lonely or helpless..

I'm impressed with a big organization operation.. the response and support my manager gives me.. I requested for a change of laptop to X series and my manager gives approval to it immediately.. I was sent an invitation to change my workstation.. how wonderful.. and great support I got :)

I'm glad I moved on.. and I'm grateful for what I get :)

Freedom Day

Today start my 1st day of freedom day..

Wake up.. log on to my computer, pay bill, msn chat with darling.. went to CP to get Johnie's birthday present, lunch, bank (to deposit my last pay check), get a pre-paid phone card (now I feel like a maid)..

After lunch, I took 2 hours nap.. wake up at 4pm, do laundry.. I'll go out for dinner and pick up birthday cake for Sweetie & Johnie..

Hooray.. I'm meeting darling, sweetie, didi, dear M and Johnie tonite.. Party! Party! Party!

Holiday Mood?

I've been really busy.. People say once you put in your resignation letter.. you should be on holiday mood but I'm working working working.. I've multiple projects to complete before my last day.. I'm really looking forward to the 1 week break before the start of my new job..

It is almost the same concept as the Paris-something in Marina Square.. but I think this one is better.. better value.. fresher foods..

The buddha jump over the wall is so tasty.. I had a few rounds of sashimi, prawn, pepper crabs, clams etc.. and a few funny & colour drink that Amanda L took back from the buffet table for me :)

Blackout

Don't know what happen to me...

I blackout last night at the washroom.. hit my face again the towel racking.. hurt my left eye brown area and face.. I usually able to control my blackout but this time I fell and blackout for quite a while.. I couldn't bring myself up at all.. I have to lie on bed and was suffering so badly that I can't control my movement.. feel so giddy.. I was so scare..

This morning, my left eye brown area is a little swollen and painful.. sob.. sob :(

A New Chapter of My Life

I finally did it!! I throw in my resignation letter last night.. It was difficult as I've been working here for 7 years.. This is the longest job that I ever hold.. there are many sentiments and fond memories left deeply-rooted in the company.. Yet, life goes on and I can only put this decision in my wishes to pursue greater heights in my career in a more challenging environment.

I'm not sure what is ahead for me.. but as for now.. I know my new colleagues in US/Asia are looking forward for me to join them.. and I do look forward to my new job (bigger responsibilities & bigger pay check).. It is like entering a new chapter of my life.. I'm looking forward to this change.. The new job is my dream job and I feel like it's a dream comes true :)

Pain!

me fell down.. so pain.. now still feel ok but I'm sure tomorrow will feel ache :(

update (24/7): aching.. aching.. aching.. wake up this morning.. suffering from ache on both right and left leg + left tight + left wrist.. I think I must have exert my left hand and leg when I fall :(

Delicious Dinner

Had an extremely delicious dinner last nite at Tian Wai Tian Fish head steamboat at Serangoon road.. It was highly recommended by Dear M's mum.. we went to try..

We reached there at around 6.30pm.. it was already damn crowded.. almost 50 tables and it was all full.. There are many popular dishes.. each is S$10 (standard price).. tofu prawn, sea cucumber, kang kong with cuttlefish, ngioh niang, shrimp paste chicken etc..



We ordered tofu prawn, kang kong with cuttlefish and fish head (red snapper) steamboat.. the soup is simply delicious.. so sweet :)

Lunch at Ikea

Went to Ikea for lunch and brought the cutlery set for our dear baby Julian.. Jie jie wanted to eat swedish meat balls very much so being a nice little sister.. sharing is caring.. I will definitely mms this to her :) Thank to the one who invented mms..
